The first issue of the Psychosomatics Yearbook has been published under the theme “Psychosomatics and Psychoanalysis.” Psychoanalytic psychosomatic thought contributes to psychoanalytic theory by conceptualizing the body not solely as a biological entity, but as a carrier of psychic representation. The Psychosomatics Yearbook seeks to bring this historically layered field into dialogue with contemporary theoretical and clinical discussions.
The dossier of this inaugural issue, titled “Psychosomatics and Psychoanalysis" approaches the psychosomatic field beyond a purely medical or biological framework, situating it within the fundamental concepts of psychoanalytic theory. The issue includes theoretical contributions, clinical reflections, research articles, and translated texts addressing diverse dimensions of psychosomatic thought.
